The Silas of Acts – or Silvanus in Paul’s letters and mentioned in 1 Peter – was a trusted leader in the early church and Christian community. In addition to helping Paul navigate some of his missionary journeys, Silas later helped Peter pen and deliver his message in 1 Peter.
